Top 1O Nail Varnishes

I've wanted to write a Top 10 Nail Varnish post for ages but I haven't been able to narrow it down. Since watching YouTube videos and reading blogs, my nail varnish collection has doubled! I have to say hands down Models Own nail varnishes are my favourite followed very closely by Barry M.
The reason I love Models Own nail varnishes is because their bottles are huge, they dry really quickly and they come in an array of colours! They are slightly on the pricier side at £5 a bottle but they are normally on some sort of offer in boots.
Here are my top 10 favourites at the moment. I have NOTD's for a few of them which I'll link too :)

2 coats
Models Own - Lilac Dream | Beth's Blue | Pink Blush | Hedkandi Beach Party | Juicy Jules | Indian Ocean
17 - Mint Choc Chip
Barry M - Pink Flamingo | Limited Ed. Lilac Foil | Strawberry Ice Cream

Lilac Dream - This to me is the perfect lilac nail varnish. A colour I wear the most. 1 coat needed.
Beth's Blue - A kind of 'blu-tack blue'. If blue was a purple it would look like this? Again you can get away with 1 coat.
Pink Blush - Such a nice bright pink colour. Great consistency. 1-2 coats.
Hedkandi Beach Party - So bright! Will look perfect with a tan. Has a matte finish. Not for the faint hearted ;). 2 coats make it POP!
Juicy Jules - Gorgeous silver glitter. I prefer to wear this over another colour. A couple of coats is all you need.
Indian Ocean - A duo-chrome finish which changes colours in different lights/angles. Takes about 3-4 coats to build up a desired colour.
Mint Choc Chip - Sounds yummy! 2 coats needed to create a lovely pastel mint finish.
Pink Flamingo - A bright pink mixed with a hint of coral. 3 coats are needed to create a desired look.
Lilac Foil - Metallic/foil finish. A cool lilac that shimmers in the light. 2 coats needed.
Strawberry Ice Cream - Girly pastel pink, perfect for the summer. 2-3 coats needed.

As you can see I am a big fan of pastel colours but occasionally go for 'out there' shades (I'm looking at you Beach Party).
If you would like a NOTD with any of the colours above please let me know :)

Whats your favourite brand for nail varnish?

Recent eBay Purchases

L'oreal Mythic Oil 4 x 3ml Samples £1.25 | Liz Earle Foot Scrub 30ml 99p | Liz Earle Energising Body Scrub 15ml 99p | 20 Black Moustache Nail Wraps £1.99

After seeing Mythic Oil pop up all other beauty blogs I thought I would head over to eBay and see if I can get my hands on some! I luckily got my hands on 4 samples for only £1.25 which I think is amazing. Perfect little samples for me to try. I have tried this for the first time today and have to say first impressions are really good. I will review this in full when I have used it for longer.
Some of you may know my favourite cleanser of all time is the Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser. So I thought as I love this product so much, I would see what else Liz Earle has to offer. As we are slowly heading into Summer, it means it's time to get our feet out after months of wearing boots. A good foot scrub is a good place to start. I will let you know how I get on with it.
Again I have seen the Liz Earle 'Energising' range appear on a couple of blogs and at 99p I wasn't going to pass it buy.
I am loving nail decals at the moment. I think they can really make your nails stand out. I was instantly drawn to these moustache nail wraps. I also have my eyes on these, these and these (and quite a few more). Expect to see a NOTD with these soon :)

Bought anything off eBay recently? I would love to see :)

Some Goodies From New Look

Khaki Long Safari Jacket - WAS £27.99 NOW £16 | Black Bralet - £4.99 | Zip Front Floral Bralet - £16.99

I really like this Long Safari Jacket. It has an adjustable drawstring waist, zipper front and a couple of pockets. Its perfect to just throw onto of an outfit for those slightly chilly summer nights. (I can't find the khaki one online but have found it in brown)
The black bralet is to wear with a maxi skirt I have recently bought off eBay. I think it would look perfect with it and also it being black it would look great with anything.
Now I never thought I would see myself buying one of these. I have liked them for a while and decided to try it on. I instantly fell in love. I'm not 100% happy with my tummy at the moment but I thought this would motivate me to tone up a little! This will be coming on holiday with me in September and hopefully I will get lots of wear out of it in the summer! I also have my eyes on this one. Maybe next pay check ;)

Have you picked up anything recently that you may not normally buy?
eBay goodies post to follow soon! :)

Latest In Beauty Box - May

I have tried the Latest In Beauty box a couple of times before, my last one was back in December. They hadn't changed their samples for a while and nothing caught my eye, but when I was browsing last week they had added new goodies and thought it was only right to order some.
If you would like more info on the beauty boxes you can visit their website here or see my previous post here.
These are the samples I have picked for my May Beauty Box.

Skin Doctors | Gamma Hydroxy - A new generation in cosmetic skin resurfacing for the best results possible without a chemical peel! Gamma Hydroxy dramatically smoothes the appearance of acne scarring, wrinkles and the visible signs of skin ageing. With a unique Hydroxy formulation, Alpha and the Beta Hydroxy Acids have been blended to have a cosmetic resurfacing effect so dramatic that with regular use, it has even been likened to a chemical peel.
This precise combination of Hydroxy acids has been carefully balanced so that the beautiful, smoothing effect happens cumulatively - over a number of weeks - without excessively harsh irritation to the skin.

It only costs £1.50 for 3 samples free P+P! (50p more since I last ordered but I'm not complaining!)
Also, you pay using your phone. If your on contract it will be added onto your bill or if you are Pay As You Go it will be taken off your credt :)
I think this is a great way of trying out some products without buying the full size item!
I will be reviewing each product once I have had a chance to try them out :)

Review - Lush Mask of Magnaminty

What Lush Say - 'The first thing about this mask is that it has to go on easily over the skin. It is what we call ‘slip’ in the industry. On sensitive skin you don’t want anything that drags, because it can cause already disrupted skin to inflame and go puffy. So we have used a combination of bentonite gel, talc, kaolin and vegetable glycerine, to enable you to gently smooth this over your face and get great coverage.
We have then added ground aduki beans and evening primrose seeds to give you the option of gently scrubbing your face for a few minutes when you are removing this, to get rid of any dead skin. Honey is added because it will moisturise the skin but is also antiseptic. Finally we have peppermint oil to stimulate the blood and give a cool feeling and marigold oil and chlorophyllin to help treat the skin.'

I have combination skin and this works really well! Since it has clay as an ingredient it may dry out people with dry skin but other than I think it would suit pretty much every other skin tone.
I apply this mask all over my face, using my dry fingers. (Some like to apply it with wet fingers on a wet face.) As soon as you apply, you can feel the chillness on your face like when you put a mint candy in your mouth. When it's drying you can feel it becoming slightly tight but it's not uncomfortable! I then wash it off with warm water massaging it in circular movements.
I really love the way it leaves my skin feeling. It feels soft to the touch and evens out my skintone/reduces any redness I may have.
I give this 4/5 -  I really like this face mask!
Would I repurchase? Yes I would but I would also like to try out some of their other face masks
Mask of Magnaminty - 125g £4.75 and can be bought in Lush stores or online
